It is the latest full-scale gaming destination to open in Illinois, after securing the 10th and final license in the state, transforming it from a riverboat casino to land-based. The casino is majority-owned by Churchill Downs, Inc.
Visitors can also choose from a variety of food and beverage options including a steakhouse and The Marketplace dining hall, as well as a 10,000 sq ft ballroom for private events and live entertainment located on the second floor along with the poker room and another slot machine gaming area. The two-level, 147,000 sq ft casino features over 1,400 slots, including a High Limit Slots Room, 67 gaming tables and a 22-table, 5,600 sq ft poker room and a BetRivers Sportsbook with a full-service bar with bartop video poker and VIP Suite. Rivers Casino is located at 3000 South River Road in the North Chicago suburb of Des Plaines, Illinois.
